Ciara & Russell Wilson Are Officially Part Owners Of A Sports Team

Talk about relationship goals!

Ciara and Russell Wilson are officially part owners of the Seattle Sounders. The Wilsons are one of three couples — former Microsoft executive Terry Myerson and his wife, Katie Myerson along with rapper Macklemore and his wife, Katie Myerson — that signed on to become investors in the Major League Soccer team, the Los Angeles Times reports.

"We are fired up about the Seattle Sounders because it’s our home. It’s the place we get to raise our kids and the place we are forever connected to,” the 33-year-old singer and the 30-year-old Seattle Seahawks quarterback said in a statement. "We want to have the world’s best soccer players play here in Seattle and win championships!"

Ciara also shared her excitement on Instagram, captioning a photo of her family of four in Sounders gear, "A Day I’ll Always Cherish! @DangeRussWilson and I are fired up to announce we are Team Owners of the Seattle @SoundersFC one of the best soccer franchises in the world! We can’t wait for our kids to grow up loving Soccer! Family is everything! Football and Futbol is Family! #SoundersIsFamily ⚽️💚💙."

Russell posted the same photo to social media, captioning his post: "Football. Fútbol. We Love them both! @Ciara and I are fired up to announce we are Team Owners of the @Soundersfc one of the best franchises in the world! We can't wait for our kids to grow up loving Soccer! Family is everything! We Love You Seattle! #SoundersIsFamily ⚽💚💙."

The Sounders first played in the North American Soccer League from 1974 to 1983. Seattle brought the name back in 2009 during the MLS expansion.

"We are doubling down on this community and growing our local roots even deeper," majority owner Adrian Hanauer said in a statement, per the LA Times. "Sounders FC was born right here in Seattle, and for more than 40 years, the club has forged a meaningful legacy that is deep and far-reaching. Today’s news is a testament to what our community has accomplished, as 11 new families have joined with the broader Sounders family as fans and invested stewards of our club."
