Police are investigating after a dead body was found in a vehicle tied to singer d4vd.

According to a report ABC 7 published on Tuesday, September 9, the Los Angeles Police Department was called to a tow yard in Hollywood to check out a foul stench inside a Tesla. Officers looked inside the car, which had been sitting in the impound lot for several days, and discovered a deceased body inside a bag in the front trunk. Police found out that the 2023 Tesla was registered in Hempstead, Texas to David Anthony Burke, which is d4vd's birth name.

The identity of the body that was found has not been revealed yet, but thankfully, it's not the 20-year-old singer. D4vd dropped his debut album WITHERED earlier this year. He garnered billions of streams thanks to songs like "Romantic Homicide" and "Here With Me." He's worked with the likes of 21 Savage, Kali Uchis and The Kid LAROI, and amassed millions followers on social media. He is currently on the road for his "Withered World Tour 2025" and is expected to perform in Minneapolis tonight.

D4vd posted a photo to his Instagram Story on Monday, so police know the body in the Tesla is not his. The singer has yet to comment on the situation; however, the comments on his Instagram posts are limited, so it's possible that he's aware of what's happening.
