Omarion says there's no respect left for Mario after his former Verzuz opponent recently criticized his singing.

During a recent radio interview, the B2K crooner was asked about the tension between himself and some of his iconic colleagues when it comes to their comparing their singing abilities. The conversation then turned to Omarion's high-profile Verzuz battle with Mario. The "Ice Box" singer was asked if he would ever work with Mario on a song in the future. Omarion declined and said, "There's no respect there."

“I’m not sure,” Omarion responded. “I don’t think so. I think that, for me, it’s all about respect.

"I think you can have your opinion, but the moment I feel like there’s no respect there, I’m cool," he added. "I’d rather step back. I don’t think there’s respect there, especially for somebody like me who has been doing it before him... It’s not by chance, it’s by hard work. It’s true.”

This is the first time Omarion has ever shared his thoughts on Mario since their battle in 2022. His comments came after Mario critiqued O's singing abilities during an interview. While on Cam Newton's Funky Friday podcast, Mario was asked to share his opinion on the vocal stylings of Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller and Omarion. When it came to O, Mario said, "It be hit or miss for me sometimes," but he didn't elaborate.
