The rumors are true, a Hello Kitty Cafe is officially opening on the Las Vegas Strip!
Restaurateur Andy Nguyen revealed that he is behind the project and officially announced that the popular Japanese cartoon-inspired cafe would open its doors at MGM's The Park Vegas this summer on July 12th.
"I'm bringing Hello Kitty Cafe to the strip," Nguyen said. "I think Sanrio recognizes who our group is as a people, and they know what we've done in the past. They're going to let us apply that element... like our street element. It's not going to be the same."
Some items Nguyen hinted will be inside the cafe include pistachio-filled Keroppi donuts, character-inspired croissants, and lots and lots of merch!
The official menu will be released in a couple weeks.
