How much do you love to Netflix & chill? It's basically the cool thing to say when you're just feeling being a bum on your couch while you eat a tub of Ben & Jerry's.
Well, apparently too much Netflix and chillin' isn't such a good thing. According to a new study, binge watching tv or your computer screen (streaming) at night can seriously mess with your sleep cycle which in result packs on the pounds.
Over 43,000 women were surveyed on if they slept with a tv on or binge watched tv before they fell asleep. Of the women in the study, those who did the latter of binge watching tv before bed were 17% more likely to gain weight. YIKES.
In a nutshell, here's why - artificial light before you go to sleep can mess up your circadian rhythm which help you log some deep z's. Poor sleep quality is one of the biggest contributing factors to weight gain!
