Trader Joe's Now Has Ube Ice Cream

The United States was introduced to ube a couple years ago and since they, the bright purple treat has taken over Instagram feeds.

If you don't know what ube is, it's a purple yam from the Philippines and is often used as the base flavor for desserts like ice cream and doughnuts. Now Trader Joe's is offering pints of ube ice cream and people are loving it!

According to Trader Joe's, the ice cream is "sweet & nutty, with hints of coconut; some liken it to a cross between vanilla & pistachio." It's made with real ube puréeand a pint is only $3!
