Kanye West Drops First Look At 'Jesus Is King' IMAX Film: See The Trailer

Kanye West's upcoming Jesus Is King IMAX film is set for release in the United States on October 25, the same day that the accompanying album is scheduled to drop, and a trailer for the film has arrived.

As per an official synopsis, the film was created last summer and set to bring the rapper's famed Sunday Service to life in the Roden Crater, James Turrell's never-before-seen installation in Arizona's Painted Desert. In the new trailer, viewers see the installation atop audio of a gospel rearrangement of 808s & Heartbreaks' "Say You Will" with a scripture from the Book of Mark. "This one-of-a-kind experience features songs arranged by West in the gospel tradition along with new music from his forthcoming album 'JESUS IS KING' — all presented in the immersive sound and stunning clarity of The IMAX Experience," the synopsis read. The film will be shown at 125 theaters internationally and more than 350 theaters in the United States.

As Billboard noted, film screenings outside the United States include locations such as the U.K., Ireland, Nigeria, Portugal, Kenya, Denmark, Finland, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Mongolia and New Zealand. Meanwhile, the film will be coming to Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Sweden on November 8. Click here to find out where you can see Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Film.

As for the film's accompanying album, the LP is still tentatively set to drop alongside the film. However, it appeared unfinished, as per the attendees who had the opportunity to hear the project during the rapper's recent visits to Chicago, Detroit and New York City.
